This is a quality product that fulfills its promise. I am able to quickly and safely file down my baby's nails without risking cutting her. The files are of good quality and last through lots of uses. I made the mistake of ordering a cheap version of this type of file and the files barely lasted one use before they came apart. The device itself appeared to be the exact same as this one on the outside. I wish I would've had this when my baby was a newborn.
Don’t hesitate to buy this! I waited 10 months to purchase and regret not getting it any sooner. Trimming nails is no longer an Olympic sport. It’s so quiet I can do it while baby sleeps. Best part, I don’t have to wait till he’s asleep to trim his nails. Even if he wiggles like a worm it won’t hurt him once it touches his skin. It either slows down or stops. Works so quick.
As a mom of two I've tried my fair share of tools to trim delicate nails without screaming or blood drawing; this one is a winner. My very wiggly baby allowed me to file all ten of her fingernails in about five minutes. I filed each one with the softest file pad and then buffed with buffer pad to remove any rough edges. She was awake and happy the entire time.
This review is based off first use and I love it! My 2 month old baby would never let me cut his nails and even when I was able to cut them they would still be sharp and he constantly scratched himself when he didn’t have mittens on. These are very delicate and even with him squirming around and pulling away I was able to file down all of his nails so they are short enough and not sharp! Highly recommend.
Nail trimming was a real battleground for our non verbal kiddo with sensory issues. The screams, the tears, having to restrain her just to clip a fingernail, it was heartbreaking. Now? Thing of the past! Our kiddo absolutely loves this trimmer and will sit quietly and patiently while we trim each nail. This is a brilliant tool and works just as well as more expensive versions. It DOES take a little practice so go slow, brace your kiddo’s finger by holding it gently between your own, move the file around to round off the edges and avoid splits/cracks. This gadget has ended the tears and terror for our kiddo, hope it helps yours too!
